Robert Sprague :: Director of Coaching
Robert Sprague is originally from Bedford, NH where he was a Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team at Manchester High School West. Robert attended Boston University where he earned a Masters Degree is Physical Therapy and played two years on the Men’s Varsity Soccer Team. Robert began his coaching career in the ODP Programs of NH and Massachusetts. In total, he coached 8 years in the ODP program (5 years as an Assistant Coach and 3 years as a Head Coach.) Robert became the Director of Coaching for the Brookline Soccer Club in 2003. He led the GU14 Falcons to the Division 1 MTOC Championship in 2006. Robert is the Head Coach for the Brookline High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team. In the past he has also served as Boys Varsity Soccer Coach at the Park School and Boys JV Coach at BHS. Robert holds both the USSF National C and B licenses.
Alex Pilitsis :: Goal Keeper Training Instructor
Coach Alex played division 1 soccer at the University of Maine, Orono before transferring to Bentley University (Waltham, MA) to study business. Alex was the starting goalkeeper at Bentley University (div 2 -Waltham, MA) under the coaching of New England Revolution goalkeeper Bobby Shuttlesworth. Before transferring to Bentley, Alex was the head coach of the Junior Varsity soccer program at North Yarmouth Academy as well as the assistant varsity coach (Yarmouth, ME 2010/11), At the same time he was also the head goalkeeper coach for Foot Skills Soccer Club of Southern Maine. After graduating Bentley in 2013 Alex began coaching for Brookline soccer club as a goalkeeper coach and U10 assistant coach.
Zach Rocha :: Staff Coach
Zach played his college soccer at Lesley University where he was a captain and a two time All-Conference selection. Zach was the Head Coach for the Mens Soccer Team at Anna Maria College. He has also coached club soccer at EMFC, the New England Revolution Academy and NEFC. Zach has worked as the Director of Coaching Development for the New Bedford Youth Soccer Association and Managed the Metro North Regional Development Center for NEFC. Zach holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma and a Goalkeeping Level One Diploma.
Chan MacVeagh :: BSC President
Chan played his college soccer in England at Cambridge University. He was the Head Coach for Girls U13 and U14 Premier Club teams and the Freshman Girls Soccer Team at Brookline High School. Chan has also served as an Assistant Coach with the Girls Varsity Soccer Team at Brookline High School. Chan is a Board Member for Massachusetts Futsal and is an evaluator for the Massachusetts State Futsal Teams. Chan has served as the Girls Coordinator for the Brookline Soccer Club since 2006. He has been coaching Brookline Soccer Club teams for over 10 years. Chan is the Director of the Brookline Summer Skills Program and the Director of the Girls High School Soccer Fitness Preparation Program. Chan holds the NSCAA National Diploma, the USSF D License and the USSF Y License. He has also has certificates from the NSCAA for Soccer Fitness and Match Analysis. Chan is currently the President of The Brookline Soccer Club
Megan Beaulieu-Jones :: Director of Rec. Plus
Megan grew up in Connecticut where she was a Senior Captain of the Girls Varsity Soccer Team at Rockville High School. During her high school career, Megan also played club soccer for some of Connecticut’s premier club teams. Megan went on to play soccer at Skidmore College and earn a degree in Elementary Education. She was awarded the Senior Athletic Leadership Award in 2009. Megan earned her Masters Degree in Special Education from Boston College in 2011 and is a 4th Grade Teacher in Hopkinton, MA. Megan has been coaching youth soccer since 2009 and has been part of the Brookline Soccer Club coaching staff since 2010. Megan holds a NSCAA National Diploma.
Morgan Redman :: Staff Coach
Morgan Redman has been coaching for three years, since graduating from Stanford University in 2011. She was a 4-year member of the soccer team at Stanford and during this time, Stanford won two Pac-10 titles and appeared in two national championship games. Following graduation, Morgan coached for two years at Stanford Soccer Club in Palo Alto, CA (GU13-15) before relocating to Boston to pursue a Masters in Public Health. She has been coaching at Brookline Soccer Club since moving to Boston in Fall 2013. Morgan holds a USSF “D” License.
Andrew Sell :: Staff Coach
Coach Sell is originally from Connecticut where he played both high school and semi-professional soccer. He began his coaching career in CT before moving to Boston in 2013. He is currently earning his degree in Music Education from Umass Boston. Coach Sell is the BHS Girls JV Coach and holds a USSF E license and NSCAA National Diploma.
Greg LeTendre :: Staff Coach
Greg grew up in Upstate New York and played soccer at Thousand Islands High School. He received a soccer scholarship to Utica College and played all four years and served as captain his senior year. Greg earned a degree in Business Administration and then moved to Boston in 1988 and has continued to play soccer in several local adult leagues. Greg has coached Brookline Rec U8 and U9 Teams and Travel Teams U10 – U12. He is currently the Brookline Soccer Club Girls Assistant Coordinator, and holds the Massachusetts D, E, F, and G licenses.
Benjamin Peters :: Staff Coach
Coach Peters was born in Germany, lived in Canada for 15 years, lived in Germany for 5 years and has now been in the US for 7 years. Played on one of the top teams in Ontario, Canada growing up. Played 1 year of youth soccer in Germany and 1 year on a semi-pro team in the Netherlands. Coach Peters started his undergraduate degree in Health and Wellness in the fall of 2007 in Upstate NY at SUNY Oswego where he played 4 years of varsity soccer. He also obtained a minor in Athletic Coaching while completing his undergraduate degree. After finishing his undergraduate degree in the fall of 2011 Coach Peters coached a U14 girls team and the JV girls high school team in Oswego, NY. In the fall of 2013 he started his Master’s degree in International Sport Management at SUNY Cortland.
Matt Groppo :: Staff Coach
Coach Matt earned a Bachelors Degree from Springfield College. He is the founder and director of the Cape Ann Tide now known as Tide Scoula Calcio (1994-Present). For the last 11 years he has been the Boy’s Head Soccer Coach at Marian High School in Framingham. Matt has been a NE Revolution Staff Coach for the last 8 years. He has recently been named Head Men’s Soccer Coach at the Ben Franklin Institute College in Boston. He also coached 2 years as the Assistant Soccer Coach at Mass Bay Community College. Matt is also a Staff Coach for MassUnited a Semi Pro team Playing in the NPSL (National Premier Soccer League) and newly formed ASL (American Soccer League).
Matt has the following coaching licenses: NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, NSCAA National Diploma, NSCAA National Youth Diploma, NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA State and Regional Goalkeeping Certificate, NSCAA Director of Coaching Ceritifcate, USSF D
Phi Nguyen :: Staff Coach
Phi was born in the Philippines and he has lived in Boston for over the past 20 years. Phi is well known throughout the Boston communities with his knowledge of grass roots soccer and his involvements at many different levels of the game. He has been a talent evaluator for Massachusetts Olympic Development Program for two years. He has been coaching with BSC since the fall of 2013 He has a USSF “D” License and hold a NSCAA National Diploma and GK Level 1 Diploma.
Sara Shine :: Staff Coach
Coach Shine been playing soccer since she was 5. She was on the varsity soccer team as a freshman in high school and played throughout college at York College of PA. Sara has been coaching with Brookline Soccer Club for 4 years. Professionally, Sara has been working with children since she graduated with an MSW from Simmons College and currently works at a residential treatment center and hospitalization program for children.
Fabio Lima :: Staff Coach
Coach Lima played soccer in College, where he earned a Physical Education and Sports degree. After graduation, Coach Lima became an assistant coach for Clube Atletico Mineiro who plays in the first division in Brazil. Later he became a coach for the Brazilian Soccer School – CBF and GOL Brazil. Since moving to the USA Coach Lima has coached for Super Soccer Stars, Boston Stars Premier, America FC United, Chestnut Hill Boys U17, Wolves Futsal Boys U14, Brookline Soccer Club Boys U14 and Girls U12.
Coach Lima has a CBF/FIFA coaching license and an NSCAA Advanced National coaching license.
